My daughter has been dealing with a situation that was totally not cool. Her friend was basically holding her "friendship" as leverage to get my daughter to buy her things. Her "friend" has to bring lunch from home and she convinced my daughter to buy her cookies or chips since my daughter gets free lunch. The ladies didn't realize that we can SEE what they buy at the school cafeteria. Gotta love technology! Anyway this morning my husband had real heart-to-heart talk with her about all the snacks she had been buying and she admitted to us what was going on. He let her know that a friend would not keep their friendship from you if you told them no. You should never feel like you would lose someone's friendship if you didn't do what they wanted you to do. We will keep working with her to be confident in herself and stand up for herself and not be used by others. I am glad my husband handled it because the Wrath of Mom would not have been so nice.
